A little context on this one. Christ was talking to the pharisees, the religious leaders of the time. These were the televangelists, the guys everyone knew.
Problem was, they talked a great game, but didn't actually put their faith in God. They just did it for the fame and power. So Christ called them out.
In his words, they were like whitewashed tombs. They were neat and clean on the outside, but without faith, they were empty and dead on the inside.
In our lives, Christ calls us to live with faith and love in our hearts. Filling our former emptiness with His very presence.
