Financially, this is the heartbeat of Crucified Minsitries. Without the proceeds from our skateboards and clothing, we would not exist. This is our version of Paul's tentmaking business. We do not receive consistent financial support from any other sources.
Why do we have two lines?
We started as Crucified Boardwear. This is based on Josh's obsession with Galatians 2:20. "I have been Crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives within me." This is our main purpose of ministry, to reach unsaved skaters with Christ's message of salvation, using the scene of the three crosses at the crucifixation to visualize the sacrifice that was made and the choice that now lies ahead of each person. Do you choose to mock this love and sacrifice, or accept it? One path leads to heaven, the other hell. This is the basic truth that all men need to know and that we wish to share.
The three17 line came out of our first Skate for Christ shirts. The skaters in our ministry loved the shirts and we astonished by the idea that skating could be a way they worship and honor God. As such, we are now dedicating some of our boards to the verse found in Colossians 3:17 that states (paraphrase), whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of Christ Jesus, giving glory and honor to the Father in heaven. This message has resonated throughout our team and we hope it will resonate with other as well.
